I see duplicate patients with the same XV Patient ID?

What you might run into, two patients with the same XV Patient ID but the Gender selections are different. (shown in the image below) During the import process some records may not have had gender imported correctly and would be identified as gender “0” when looking at the record.
As you take additional X-Rays, if the Gender is different in Open Dental it will add another patient record to the table.
To Merge these records together click on the “View” button on the record with the wrong information. In this case, the Gender “O” record.
Next to the Patient's Name you will see an edit Icon
Update the Gender to the correct option and hit “Confirm”. This will merge all matching records into a single patient record. |
