How do I send from a Google Group’s email address?

First make sure you are a member of the Google Group you’d like to email as. Then Sign into your Gmail. Click on the Gear at the top right, and click Settings. In Settings, click on Accounts.
You’re looking for the Send mail as section. Click the link titled Add another email address.
You want to use the Name of the Google Group here – not your own. Fill out the email address of the Group, and make sure to remove the check next to Treat as an alias before clicking Next Step.
Double check the Google Group’s email address you’re adding, then click Send Verification.
It’s OK to go ahead and close the window asking you to verify the confirmation code. You’re waiting for an email to hit your inbox, and it will be titled something like [group tag] Mortenson Dental Partners Confirmation – Send Mail as example@mdpweb.net
Inside that email will be a long link with the confirmation code. Give that a click and you’ll be set up. You may need to refresh your Gmail inbox before you have the option to send as the Group email address when replying or composing a new email.
