What makes a Google Group different from a normal email?

A normal email account is meant for the individual, and signed into with a password. Emails sent from that account are attributed to a single person. These accounts are also used to sign into MDPweb and access reports and website features. Google Groups do not have a password and cannot be signed into. They often have multiple members and content sent to the Group is forwarded to each person. Members are able to respond individually or, with some set up, from the Group address. When Groups are created, they are set up to prefix all incoming emails with a tag in brackets. For example, [all.users] |
