As part of our security initiative, we have implemented BitDefender GravityZone Endpoint Security on all MDP workstations, and will soon require it on all work-related laptops. BitDefender GravityZone has consistently ranked as one of the top cybersecurity protection providers by independent testing organizations. It provides a centralized management platform with a single point of security management. It can catch "unusual behavior" and prevent web-based exploits from sending data to unwanted agents.
To see if you have BitDefender installed and active on your PC, check the icons by your clock for a white circle with a black "B". The icon looks like this.
Double-clicking on the icon will bring up a screen similar to what's seen below. If you see a "YOU ARE AT RISK" notification, it's most likely prompting for a full scan of the PC. You can click the 1 ISSUE FOUND notice to initiate that. This does not mean you have been infected. It's just good practice to run a manual scan every now and again.
If you're using a work-provided PC or laptop and do not see Bitdefender installed and running, please put a ticket in with IT Operations so we can correct that.
