Step 1: Access Open Dental and sign in with your credentials.
Step 2: Select Tools, then Database Maintenance.
Step 3: Click the 'Check' button. Open Dental will now run a check through all tables in its database. This will identify any crashed tables that will need to be fixed manually. (This step typically takes a couple of minutes depending on the size of the database, and it's normal for a few tables to take longer than others. i.e. procedurelog and securitylog)
Step 4: Once the check is complete, you'll see a summary of which tables need any maintenance. This can also take a couple of minutes to load fully.
Step 5: After the list is fully loaded, there will be an 'X' in the Breakdown column for any table that was either automatically repaired or requires manual review. Highlight the tables you'd like to fix that require manual review (hold down the ctrl key to highlight multiple) and click the "Fix" button. During the fix you'll see another progress loading bar pop up.
Step 6: A pop up may appear that says "At least one DBM method is not safe to run while replication is enabled. Would you like to continue?" Select yes. This will trigger a pop up prompting you for a password.

Step 7: You should now see a summary page signifying that the database maintenance you ran is complete. Hit 'Close'. (this will trigger another progress pop up before closing out completely.)
Important to note: Keep an eye on the office's rep in Zabbix, if it does break from the DBM it may not be instant. |
